Secondary Typeface

Gotham Narrow is our secondary typeface. Its neutral tone and high legibility allows it to be extremely versatile. Because it’s easy to read at a variety of weights, it works great for subheads and body copy, and pairs beautifully with Domaine Display Bold. A variety of weights are at your disposal, from Light to Black, but use sparingly and with intention.

Recommendations

  • Use “all caps” for headlines and sub-heads. Title-case is also acceptable. Track out headlines and sub-heads to at least 50.
  • When pairing fonts within a type family, contrast is key. If setting body copy with the “Book” weight, make sure the header (or any emphasized text) is set two weight levels heavier with “Bold.”
  • Don’t use more than three weights in a composition.
  • Don’t overshadow the primary typeface.
